We’re launching an exciting new project in Halifax, in partnership with Totally Locally and Halifax Borough Market. To support households who are self-isolating, from Monday 23 August, you’ll be able to order from a range of stalls in the market and we’ll deliver FREE, anywhere within HX1 and nearby areas. If you want to, you’ll be able to get nearly all your weekly shop by bike!

Businesses who are participating so far include:

  • Borough Kitchen (Takeway café, cakes and preserves)

  • Grosvenors (Butchers)

  • P Crabtree & Son (Fishmongers)

  • P Wilkinson (Bakers)

  • Temperance Movement (Delicatessen)

  • The Wine Glass (Wines and spirits)

  • Toffee Smith’s (Confectionary)

  • Just Gaia (Wholefoods, homewares and organic veg boxes)

Delivery area

You can get a delivery to any home or business address in central Halifax (HX1), Akroydon, Boothtown, Claremount, Delph Hill, Fountainhead, Heath, Highroad Well, King Cross, Lee Mount, Norton Tower, Ovenden, Pellon, Pye Nest, Salterhebble, Savile Park, Shaw Hill, Siddal, Skircoat Green, West End, Wheatley, and Willowfield.

We can’t deliver outside those areas at present but watch this space!

What if I’m not self-isolating?

While the service is mainly aimed at supporting people who’ve been told to self-isolate, it’s also open to anyone who has mobility or transport issues, doesn’t feel comfortable going out to shops at the moment, or just wants to try home delivery by cargo bike. So if you want to use it, go ahead.
